“The Land of Bewilderment” photo exhibition by prominent photographer Mohammad Sayyad is open at Nabshi Gallery in Tehran until August 30. The exhibition comprised of 100 photos which depict the horrific and devastating catastrophe of Halabja’s chemical bombardment, and the unwanted fleeing of the Iraqi Kurdish people between 1988 and 1991, when Saddam’s ethnic and political repression was at its pick. Sayyad has tried to illustrate the pains of the Kurdish nation at that critical juncture through the suffering of Kurdish refugees who were forced to immigrate to Iran.
